Where to Recycle Electronics in San Diego

Home electronics, if thrown away in your regular trash bin, pose a threat to the environment due to the chemicals they contain. Luckily, there are organizations in San Diego willing to accept these items and then dispose of them or find a way to reuse them. You do not receive a CRV payment, like when you recycle cans or bottles, but there is either little or no fee to you for recycling electronics at the following locations.

Miramar Recycling Center

The Miramar Recycling Center takes televisions, computer monitors computer CPUs at no charge to you. The center also accepts small household electronics like printers and and keyboards for a fee of $.25/pound.

Recycle San Diego

Recycle San Diego takes a wide variety of electronics for recycling. Computers, televisions, monitors and laptop power cords are among the items that can be dropped off for free. For a charge of $.20/pound (with a $5 minimum) you can also donate electronics that include faxes, copiers and speakers.
